C2PA records hash values for the entire content — both audio and video — so even substituting just the video track while keeping the original audio is detectable as tampering. However, C2PA manifests are metadata, making them vulnerable to stripping through transcoding or re-upload. By combining Evixar's proprietary acoustic watermarking technology "EAW" (Evixar Audio Watermark) and acoustic fingerprinting technology "EFP" (Evixar Finger Print) as registered C2PA soft binding algorithms, SIGNED SOUND maintains provenance traceability from the audio signal itself even after C2PA metadata has been removed. The combination of EAW/EFP (audio layer) and C2PA (full content) delivers coverage of a variety of audio and video content scenarios. See the FAQ for details on EAW and EFP.
Acoustic watermarks are embedded directly into the audio waveform itself, while fingerprints are derived from acoustic features extracted from the waveform and stored in a database. In either case, identification is performed from the audio signal itself — surviving format conversion, re-encoding, and metadata deletion. Combined with C2PA, SIGNED SOUND provides coverage across a variety of distribution and manipulation scenarios.

Cutouts and references that help spread your content are welcome. As your signed material spreads, the mark spreads with it through cutouts and quotations. Meanwhile, fake reviews or fake ads with substituted audio show up as "not matching the official" upon verification.
Fan cutouts and reaction videos still carry the mark of the official source. AI-synthesized fake songs or "new tracks" the artist never recorded, on the other hand, lack the mark — making forgeries identifiable. The more widely known it is that official content carries a mark, the harder forgeries become to produce.
Sign and distribute press conference videos or press kits, let media use them broadly, and verify how they were used afterward. The mark persists through reporting and quotation alongside the material — so when edits distort context, you can point it out with evidence.
